Meet Your Vegan Travel Expert & Experience Curator

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Angie and I’m a professional vegan travel planner specializing in foodies and travelers who crave experiences that feel a little different — a little deeper, a little more connected, and a lot more delicious.

I’ve been vegan for over 8 years, and for me, it’s so much more than a diet — it’s a lens through which I see the world. Living vegan means I care deeply about the planet, about animals, and about the communities I visit. And one of the things I love most about traveling is that it has only reinforced those values. Every country I’ve visited has shown me that plant-based eating isn’t some niche, difficult lifestyle to maintain on the road — it’s actually a beautiful way to connect with local food cultures. Vegetables, legumes, grains, and fruits are at the heart of cuisines all around the world. Once I started traveling as a vegan, I realized I wasn’t missing out on anything. If anything, I was discovering more.

Long before veganism became a part of my identity, travel was already in my blood. Some of my earliest and most cherished memories are of family vacations to the Jersey Shore every summer growing up. The smell of salt air, the sound of waves, the simple joy of a long day on the beach with the people I loved — those trips planted a seed in me. They taught me that getting away from your everyday life, even just for a little while, has the power to fill you up in ways that nothing else quite can.

That love of travel grew with me, and eventually it took me far beyond the Jersey coastline.

The Trip That Changed Everything: Peru, July 2019

In July 2019, I did something that stretched me in every possible way — I spent an entire month solo in Cusco, Peru, and it remains one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

The first two weeks, I volunteered at a school for children with special needs. There are no words that fully capture what it feels like to show up for kids who light up when you walk through the door, despite every language barrier and every difference between your worlds. It was humbling. It was joyful. It cracked my heart wide open. Those two weeks reminded me that connection is universal — it doesn’t require a shared language or a familiar backdrop.

The second two weeks, I shifted into explorer mode and spent my time sightseeing throughout the Sacred Valley and beyond. The highlight, without question, was Machu Picchu. Standing at that ancient citadel, surrounded by mist and mountains, was one of those moments where you feel genuinely small in the best possible way — small in the face of history, of nature, of how vast and remarkable this world really is.

But here’s what I’ll always say about Peru: the destination wasn’t actually the most important part. The most important part was doing it alone.

Solo travel has a way of pushing you up against yourself. There’s no one to defer to, no one to navigate for you, no one to sit with when you’re feeling uncertain or homesick or out of your element. You have to figure it out. And in figuring it out, you discover that you are far more capable than you ever gave yourself credit for. That month in Cusco taught me to get comfortable with being uncomfortable — to sit in the discomfort of not knowing, of being a stranger, of making mistakes, and to trust that I would find my way through. That lesson has stayed with me every single day since.

In addition to Peru, I’ve explored beautiful corners of Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Italy, England, and Punta Cana — each destination teaching me something new about culture, food, and the magic of slowing down. And I’m so excited to be adding France, Greece, and Tanzania to that list later this year!

What lights me up most? Helping fellow plant-based travelers experience the world without compromise. You shouldn’t have to stress about what you’ll eat or settle for “just a salad.” Traveling as a vegan is genuinely not as hard as people think — and I’m living proof of that. You deserve rich food experiences, immersive cultural moments, and itineraries that reflect you.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing vegan-friendly destinations, hidden gems, cultural insights, and tips to help you travel confidently and creatively.

If you love incredible food, meaningful experiences, and trips that feel like stories you’ll tell for years — you’re in the right place.
